AB Custom Woodwork LLC FAQ

This is one of the most common questions asked. Since we provide custom work it is not possible to give a general estimate. Each piece of the work is made especially for you. This ranges from the type of wood, to the dimensions of the project, paint used, as well as even the type of blade used to create your individual piece(s). Since we do not sell to retailers there is no markup to our work by a 3rd party. Many people are actually surprised to find how affordable custom woodwork can be.

This again varies depending on the size of your project, it can range from a few days to a few weeks.

Generally about 50% is paid at the time of signing the contract and the rest is due when the project is complete.  This helps to protect not only us but also you as the customer to ensure everything is to your liking.

We have samples of color and designs available. We also create custom blue prints to show you the design of the project and dimensions.

Much of our material is purchased from Rings End, Condon Lambert and CT Plywood however we have other suppliers as well. All wood is purchased to custom order. Nothing is purchased precut and each piece is milled to customer request.

This is also left to your preference, however, we can make recommendations as to what wood would be best suitable for your specific project. Just a few examples of available wood are maple, cherry, oak, bamboo, mahogany, and hickory.  The options are almost endless.

This is really the area that is only limited by one’s imagination. We have an array of truly endless possibilities ranging from paint color and type of paint, knobs and hinges, panels on doors, as well as any other part of the project can be customized.
